Leo de Galan, Independent consultant, Netherlands
Abstract The subject of this chapter is the conversion of the chromatographic response, peak area or peak height, to the component’s content through calibration using either of four alternatives: external standards, internal standard, standard addition, 100 % method. Each approach is shown to have its own merits, but also its disadvantages.
