Reporting

Abstract Generally speaking, once again it is the customer that ultimately determines what and how much of the method development must be reported. For the analyst - and especially for his surroundings - it is very important that the purpose of the work, the work done and the results are carefully documented. In most cases the latter requires no explicit reporting, as long as the ‘lab-journal' is well kept. For the latter almost all businesses and institutions have adequate rules. This chapter describes the three levels of reporting.
